The following was composed by Fernando’s family:

Fernando A. Chirinos of Roslyn, Pennsylvania, age 86, died December 28th, 2020 at Abington Memorial Hospital. Fernando was born December 7th, 1934, in Arequipa, Peru, son of the late Nicodemus Chirinos and Evangelina Chirinos Valdivia. He is now reunited in the afterlife with his beloved late wife, Gladis Kelly Chirinos of 58 years. He was the proud Father of Gerardo (Nico) Chirinos and his wife Dina, Flavia Via and her late husband Gary Via, Nicole Boyd and her husband Neal, Angela Penta and her husband Alberto, and the late Eliana Flannery and her husband Russ, Grandfather of Angie, Anson, Dan, Caitlin, Taylor, Jordin, Erek, Ryan, Madison, Abby, Ian, Veronica, Venessa, and Krystal, and nine great grandchildren including Camron whom he lived with. Fernando is survived by his siblings: Luzmila, Marina, Graciela, Antonieta and brother Guillermo.

Fernando met the love of his life, Gladis, 70 years ago and married on March 10th, 1960 in their hometown Arequipa, Peru. In 1971 Fernando pioneered the immigration of their family of 7, to the United States. In the following years, his siblings were able to join them in the USA. Fernando lived with his family in Falls Church, Virginia until 1979 before purchasing their new home in Roslyn, Pennsylvania. He worked hard and in 1983 opened his own business, Keystone Dental Equipment, and upon retiring he donated all kinds of dental equipment to clinics in Peru.

Fernando’s charismatic personality was grander than life. He was the most adventurous, strong-willed man and his optimism even took him to the top of El Misti. He had a zest for life and was bursting with energy and positivity. He loved and was loved by so many people and was a hero to many. He never let the pressures of life stop him from enjoying every single moment. He always made everyone laugh and had never-ending stories. He loved to explore and create lasting memories with his family. Despite his go-getter personality and all his dreams and goals, family was the most important thing to him. A man so powerful, yet so humble.

Because of these trying times, a traditional funeral is out of question. We would like to invite friends and family to join us or via vimeo livestream (www.noolp.org) on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at 11:00 AM for a mass being held at Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church ,605 West Street Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
