Dolores Desmond (Ucciferri) passed away at home surrounded by family in Maple Glen on Saturday May 22, 2021, at the age of 90. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Dolores graduated from Hallahan High School and remained close to many classmates.
She was a loving, dedicated wife to her late husband, Gerald. Most of their life together was spent in Jenkintown, PA. She adored her children and volunteered countless hours at their schools. Dolores loved vacationing at the beach in Stone Harbor and spending time with her close friends and family. Her kindness and gentle spirit were noted by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. Desmond, Sr. and daughter, Maryanne Dennin. She is survived by her children: Caroline Dennin (Joseph) and Gerald A. Desmond Jr. (Stacey), and eight grandchildren: Andrew, Brian, Caroline, Emilee, Lauren, Ethan, Meghan, and Ryan.
Beginning at 10:00am, Friday, May 28th, a visitation was held at Saint Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Dr, Maple Glen, with Mass beginning at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dolores’ name may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
