Robert H. Smith of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, July 5, 2021 at Philadelphia Veterans Community Living Center. He was 92 years old. Robert was born September 15, 1928 in Opelika, Alabama.
Robert joined the United States Navy at age of 17 and served honorably until his discharge. He is survived by his daughter Cecilia H. Morrison and a son Robert Vincent Atkins. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and friends.
He prided himself as a businessman for many years. He loved to watch his beloved Philadelphia Phillies and enjoyed having good conversations with his family and friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to his graveside service with military honors rendered by the United States Navy on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
Religious services were conducted by Chaplain Chanta’ M.D. McLymont from Philadelphia Veterans Community Living Center, 3461 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
