The following obituary was written by Karen’s family:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dearest Karen McSorley (nee Plotnick) age 86 of Philadelphia, PA on Friday, January 21, 2022.
Karen is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Daniel J. McSorley; son Ralph Furino and (Dog) Kiki. Mother-in-Law of Michelle Furino (nee Swartz) and “Grandy” to Rachel Thomas, Abigail Furino and David Thomas. Sister of Theodore “Ted” Wolkow (Terri); Sister-in-law of David McSorley (Patty-Jean). Karen was also a beloved Aunt, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
She was predeceased by her two children Gail Thomas (nee Walls) and Steven Walls.
A private gathering will be held at the Furino residence on Sunday, January 30th to share memories and express condolences.
