Stephen W. Cook, 80, previously from Doylestown, PA, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022. Steve was the son of John Carroll and Margaret T. (Mullen) Cook and raised in Erdenheim, PA.

He was a proud graduate of LaSalle College High School, LaSalle University, and also received his MBA from Drexel University. After four years in ROTC, Steve honorably served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and continued his service in the Reserves for several years. Steve loved sports. While at LaSalle, he played varsity football, basketball, and varsity baseball. He continued playing baseball during his time at LaSalle University. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and attended numerous Eagles, Phillies, Union, Flyers, and Sixers games. Throughout the years, Steve played softball, golf, and could always be found coaching and supporting his children and grandchildren on the sidelines of countless athletic fields and pool decks. Most of all, Steve enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He and his wife, Anne, enjoyed taking cruises and traveling together during their fifty-three years of marriage. He spent many years as a financial advisor before retiring.

Steve was the beloved husband of Anne J. (nee Zanger); loving father of Heather A. (John) Schaefer and Stephen W. (Laura) Cook Jr.; dear brother of Carole A. (Dr. Robert) Wright and Dennis M. (Christine) Cook; loving grandfather of Katherine and Julia Schaefer and Ashley and Stephen Cook III.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 27, 10:30 a.m., at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA 19002.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Msgr. Brian P. Hennessy, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in his name to the Christian Brothers Development Office, P.O. Box 1710, Beltsville, MD 20704-1710.
