Patricia M. (Huebner) De Finis passed peacefully on June 23, 2022 at 94 years old, surrounded by her family in her home. Patricia “Pat” was the seventh child in a family of twelve, raised in the Mayfair-Torresdale section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Patricia graduated from Nazareth Academy and attended Holy Family University. She and her husband, Anthony (deceased), were married for 37 years, during which time they grew their family to thirteen children. Her love of poetry led her to being published many times, with her first book being published at 92 years old. She took great pride in her Irish heritage and was dedicated to her Catholic religion, particularly devoted to Padre Pio and the Holy Spirit. Patricia enjoyed watching the Phillies and old movies, listening to Irish and country music, completing puzzles, and playing cards, especially Phase 10. She was an avid dog lover, collector of dolls, toys, and miniatures, and adored spending time with her large family.
Patricia is survived by her children Kathleen Bickings, Rudy De Finis (Barbara), Mary De Finis, Dennis De Finis (deceased), Dolores De Finis, Patricia Nolfi (Robert-deceased), Rocco De Finis (Kathy), Anthony De Finis (deceased), Constance De Finis, Kevin De Finis (Amy), Karin De Finis (Patrick), Monica DeFinis (Greg), and Angela DeSimone (Chicky), along with 36 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Mass was held on Thursday, June 30 at St. Dominics Church 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136 at 10:00 am a luncheon followed at La Casa Di Lucia 14425 Bustleton Avenue, Trent Plaza, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
