Joseph E. DeMarco III, 85, of Ridley, PA, passed away on May 27, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 7, 1938 to the late Joseph DeMarco II and Marguerite DeMarco.
Joe proudly served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for 5 years. Following his military service, he dedicated 35 years to working at the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Outside of his professional life, Joe found joy in maintaining his yard, showcasing his skills as a handyman, and hunting for hidden treasures to incorporate into his home decor.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Doris DeMarco, sister Barbara Boyle, his children Joseph, Michael (Beth), Gina (Eric), Caroline (Dan), and David (Missy), as well as stepchildren George Weddle and Mary Weddle. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jessica, Joey, Michael, Matthew, Megan, David, Jaxon, and great-grandchildren Phoenix, Maddox, and Emma as well as nieces and nephews.
Joe DeMarco will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his country, and his community. May he rest in peace.
