The following obituary was composed by Anne’s daughter Phyllis:
Today we mourn the loss of a wonderful lady, my mother, Anne C. Gill. Mom passed away peacefully at our home on July 18, 2024 after a long illness. She was 95 years young. Mom was born January 3, 1929 in Philadelphia, daughter of Gabriele and Maria Melillo. She is survived by her loving daughter, Phyllis Witchey, her granddaughter Stayce McMackin, and grandson Matt Glikbarg & wife Kristin Glikbarg, and her many great grandchildren, Karly & Ben Vitelli, Thomas Shaffert, Erin Shaffert, Gavin Shaffert, Maverick Glikbarg, Cameron Glikbarg, and Wyatt Glikbarg. In addition her niece and nephew, Edward & Grace Witchey, and their children Evie, Laurel, Giovanni, Gaige and Silas. Anne was also preceded in death by her daughter Roxanne Nicastro, son-in-law Stephen Witchey, and great grandson Eric Glikbarg. Anne worked until she was 89 years of age. She proudly worked for Alpha Shirts, Philadelphia doing inside sales. She maintained friendships with her co-workers until her death. Anne was a fun, no nonsense lady, who was loved by all those who knew her. She loved her wine, the Eagles and most of all family. She will be missed by all.
