May L. McEwen, of Pottstown, PA formerly of Southampton & Willow Grove, PA, died on November 14, 2024. She was 60 years old and was born June 7th in Meadowbrook, PA to Herbert Sr. & Joan Hellings. May became a mom at age 22 to her 2 Step-daughters - Heather Belser (Brandon) and Nicole Lucas (Leroy) who she loved as her very own and later gave birth to her beloved daughter Ryann McEwen (Anthony); she was a proud grandmother to David, Christian, Elijah, Cameron, Colin, Joclyn, McKenzie, Savannah, Layla & predeceased by Adam & Madison. Sister to Peggy & Tom O’Donnell, Herb Hellings Jr and the late Sally Hellings (2023). May is also survived by her nephew and many cousins.
May was a proud graduate of CB West High School in Doylestown, PA. After high school, May attended Gordon Phillips School of Hairdressing in northeast Philadelphia, she enjoyed her career as a hairdresser for many years and she also worked in retail for several years. She loved painting and playing pool & darts with her friends. May will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services are private.
