Philip Stephen Mauro (Bones, Philsie, Pops)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Stephen Mauro, who left us at the age of 70. Philip was one of a kind—a force to be reckoned with, yet a man with one of the biggest hearts. His presence was unforgettable, his love for his family unwavering.

He is survived by his two loving daughters, Val (Mike) and Brandi (Torin), who will forever cherish his strength, wisdom, and humor. His five grandchildren April, Maddie, Lyndsie, Domenic, and Deluca were his pride and joy, bringing him endless happiness. He also leaves behind his beloved sister, Beverly, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories

Philip found peace in the simple joys of life. Whether he was fishing at the lake, savoring his daily coffee and glazed donut, or simply spending time with his family, he embraced each moment fully. His love was fierce, his laughter contagious, and his presence irreplaceable.

Though he may be gone, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In honor of Philip, raise a cup of coffee, and remember to cherish the simple moments—they were his favorite.

For those who wish to send flowers, they may be sent to Ivy Hill Cemetery and Crematory. Philip had a love for black roses, a reflection of his unique and bold spirit.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Phil’s life was held on Friday, April 4th, at Ivy Hill Cemetery from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following the service, family and friends were invited to join us for a luncheon at Magerks in Fort Washington from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM to share memories and celebrate his life together.
