Susan Hanley Ruescher, of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 15, 2026, on her 86th birthday.
Susan was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late William and Frances Hanley. Throughout her life, she called many places home, including Chicago, Illinois; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Redondo Beach, California; Clearwater, Florida; Ambler, Pennsylvania; and Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
Susan was the beloved mother of Francine Roseman and her husband, Stewart; Don Cimino and his wife, Joanne; Bill Cimino and his wife, Patricia; and Ann Russo and her husband, Jim. She was the proud grandmother of Taylor, Alex, Sarah, Michael, Nicholas, Anthony, and Kristen, all of whom brought joy to her life.
Susan worked for a number of companies throughout her career before retiring in 2005. In retirement, she enjoyed the opportunity to pursue her love of travel, visiting destinations around the world, including France, Italy, Egypt, Mexico, Ireland, Switzerland, and Canada, as well as many states throughout the United States.
A true animal lover, Susan had a special place in her heart for dogs. As those who knew her would agree, she never met a dog she didn’t love. Her compassion for animals was an important part of who she was.
Susan will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends, who will cherish the memories they shared with her.
