John C. Stevens passed away peacefully at home on July 22nd, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather whose gentle spirit and enduring love will be deeply missed.
John found great purpose and pride in serving his community. He loved his years as a volunteer firefighter and also dedicated many years to working as a maintenance technician at various hospitals, always willing to lend a hand and ensure others were safe and cared for.
Outside of work, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping, fishing, and spending time with his family—especially during the holidays. Some of his favorite memories were built around Christmas traditions, from the elaborate train platforms he carefully constructed to the joy he found in playing Santa for the kids.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Stevens; his daughters, Christina Frey (husband Jesse), Julia DiNenno (husband Tony), and Melissa Scott (husband Michael); his son, Sean J. Stevens; and his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Frey, Angelina DiNenno, Joshua Frey, Brayden DiNenno, and Lukas Frey. He is also survived by his loving sisters: Joanne Aquilino, Peggie Archie, and Mary Ferraro. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Jean Mann, and by his parents, John J. Stevens and Madeline R. Dardis.
John’s legacy lives on in the lives of his family, whom he loved deeply and supported unconditionally. His memory will be held close in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
