The following was composed by Ralph’s family:

Ralph Udicious, 88, died peacefully at Meadowood Retirement Community on January 3, 2026.

Born in Hastings, Pennsylvania, Ralph was the second-oldest child of the late Catherine and Francis Udicious. He grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he laid the foundation for a life defined by intellect, dedication, and family.

Ralph was a loving husband to his wife of 66 years, Lois, and a devoted father to his sons, Tom Udicious and his husband, David, and John Udicious and his wife, Jacqueline. He was deeply loved by his brothers and sisters, as well as by his many nieces, nephews, friends, and, in addition, the dear caregivers at Meadowwood who loved him and took such wonderful care of him.

A lifelong learner, Ralph graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Villanova University and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Temple University. He also pursued postgraduate studies at Carnegie Tech and the University of Pennsylvania.

Ralph worked as a software and radar engineer throughout his distinguished career, holding positions at RCA, GE, Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin, and MIT/Lincoln Laboratories. His work reflected his sharp intellect, dedication, and passion for problem-solving.

Ralph was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Cherry Hill and enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary’s Home in Cherry Hill. He enjoyed coaching and refereeing basketball and was an avid jogger, swimmer, and reader. He also had a deep love for dogs, horses, and all animals.

A kind and generous man, Ralph supported several charitable organizations, including the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden, New Jersey, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Catholic Relief Services, and ChildFund International.

Above all, Ralph will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his sharp mind, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446. Religious services will be conducted by Msgr. James Grahan from Corpus Christi Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Corpus Christi Church - St. Vincent de Paul Society, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446.
