At the age of 62, Mark Charles Good passed away, leaving behind a life defined by purpose, compassion, and an enduring belief in others’ potential. Born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, to his father, Charles Good, and mother, Vivian Good. He carried with him a lifelong curiosity about people and a deep conviction that the world could be made better through understanding.
He pursued that belief through education, earning both his undergraduate degree in communications and Master of Education in Counselor Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as a K-12 school counselor, guiding young students through important moments in their lives.
Over time. his work grew to include teaching. consulting. and leadership in diversity and inclusion. For more than two decades, he taught graduate and postgraduate courses and developed curricula at institutions including West Chester University of PA, Saint Joseph's University, and Immaculata University. Throughout his career, he was devoted to a single yet powerful principle: Inclusion of all and exclusion of none.
Those who knew him understood that these values were not just part of his work they were part of who he was. He had a strong moral compass and believed deeply in doing the right thing, even when no one was watching. He wanted to change the world by encouraging others to become their best selves, and he tried every day to live by that example.
Outside of his professional life, he found joy in traveling and exploring new places. He had a deep love for animals, especially his dog Remy, who was a constant and loyal companion.
He is survived by his sister Beth Good; his daughters Devon Kearney-Good and Tyler Kearney-Good: and his beloved granddaughter, Noa S. Fields, who brought him Immense pride and joy. He is also survived by many cousins, an aunt, and uncle.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his integrity, and the quiet but meaningful impact he had on the many lives he touched. His belief in empathy, learning, and the possibility of growth in every person will continue to live on in those who knew and loved him.
